Spiffed the Place Up a Bit...

Yeah, I was sick of my blog looking like everyone elses, so I made a few changes. I will be tweaking it a bit, so I would appreciate advice regarding the look and feel. Thanks!
Update: Yeah, that first one was kind of a disaster. This one seems a lot better...

It's a little hard to read the small black text with that dark-ish blue background, so maybe make the background a little lighter or the text a little bigger, or a different color.

Your idea to get together before class sounds good. I'm always at the Bistro coffeeing for about an hour before.

The look is very cool. But it sort of promises a more tranquil you ;-)

I dunno, feels kind of like being inside a bottle of spring water. Can you add some edge with another primary color? Need to reflect a more edgy you.

Defnitely better than the original, There's plenty of time to play with it and add a more personal touch (if that's what you want to do)i

Yeah, it may be a little too tranquil for the likes of myself. Still, I like it and may keep it. Joe's analogy is correct, it is kind of like the inside of a spring water bottle. But I'm not sure if that's such a bad thing.

Brett,

I'm diggn' the new look man! The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the new format: If Robert Frost (perhaps because of his last name?) had a blog...his would look like this.

John's right, it's very tranquil. There’s only one problem: all of your posts about going to the bar, drinking, and picking up girls (which I love by the way and hope there’s more to come) will contrast the warm and fuzzy feeling I get when I now log on to your blog. Or will they?

Now that I think about it, that’s kind of the same effect I got when I used to go out drinking during my single days. Hell, disregard the first few sentences and keep the new look! Besides, there is the possibility that the road less traveled led Rob right to a bar...and that was the difference.

I'm guessing it's going to add to your indignation that THIS post draws the most comments. Anyway, I like the blue period...just don't be surprised if you end up as "Inscrutable Blue Gentleman" on the blog role.
