Spell Checker Gone Awry

The other day I ran a spell checker on one of my posts, hoping that it would alleviate some of the ridiculous mistakes I make. Instead, the thing managed to change blog to "bloc" without my noticing. Which begs the important question: Why the hell does the spell checker for "blogger" not include the words blog, blogger or blogging?
